Gurr designed two 1910 era vehicles of the Main Street Vehicles attraction for Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A. The Carnation Wagon was designed for Carnation and was parked outside The Carnation Ice Cream Parlour, creating a photo opportunity for guests. It was built on a Model A chassis with Model T wheels.

Fred Joerger (1913–2005) was one of Disneyland's original model makers, or "imagineers". He was recruited from Warner Bros by Walt Disney himself in 1953, [1] [2] and created models for most of Disneyland's original attractions, [3] including the steamboat Mark Twain, Main Street, the Matterhorn [4] and the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

[1] At the Disneyland Railroad, the No. 1 C.K. Holliday locomotive is also modeled after the 173, bearing a strong resemblance to it.
On July 17, 1955, Disneyland and the Disneyland Railroad opened, and the day began with Walt Disney driving the DRR's No. 2 locomotive and its passenger train into Main Street, USA Station with California Governor Goodwin J. Knight and AT&SF Railway President Fred Gurley riding in the locomotive's cab.
