Old Lycoming Township is a township in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,973 at the 2020 census [3] down from 4,938 in 2010.

[1] Townships may contain villages, which the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) marks with signs and defines as "unincorporated built-up areas which have a post office or a generally recognized name".
Lycoming Township was formed from part of Old Lycoming Township. A petition from the residents of the northern part of what was Lycoming Township was submitted on April 26, 1858. The petition asked that Lycoming Township be divided into northern and southern portions. A vote held in the Newberry section of Williamsport agreed with the petitioners.

Most municipalities in Pennsylvania must follow state law except where the state has expressly given jurisdiction to the municipality, and are therefore subject to the Third Class City Code, the Borough Code, the First Class Township Code, the Second Class Township Code, or other acts for sui generis municipalities.
The township surrounds the borough of Muncy, a separate municipality. Interstate 180 crosses the township, with access from Exits 10 and 13. I-180 leads northwest 14 miles (23 km) to Williamsport, the Lycoming county seat, and south 12 miles (19 km) to Interstate 80 near Milton.
