Mohan Raja is an Indian film director and screenwriter who primarily works in Tamil and Telugu film industries. After making his debut in the Telugu film Hanuman Junction (2001), he went on to remake several successful Telugu films into Tamil, beginning with Jayam (2003) which also launched his brother Ravi as a leading actor.

He was born and raised in Kanjiramkulam, Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala, India. His schooling was at P. K. S. Higher Secondary School, Kanjiramkulam. [2]
