Today, Montreal's Olympic Park hosts limited professional sports events and is mainly a tourist and cultural attraction. Montreal hosted the 2006 1st World Outgames holding the opening/closing ceremonies and many of the events at the Olympic Stadium. The event drew over 10,000 participants.
