Giurgiu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈdʒjurdʒju] ⓘ; Bulgarian: Гюргево, romanized: Gyurgevo) is a city in southern Romania. The seat of Giurgiu County, it lies in the historical region of Muntenia.
