Problem with hoppers is short loads and long dead head. I was averaging 27% empty at the end. If my truck hadn't quit running i cant say id still be pulling a hopper. how bout dump trailer. why limit yourself to a hopper unless thats what you want maybe a belt trailer or dump. more options with a dump cotton scrap grain fertilizer im pulling scrap from york pa to boston mass its paying pretty good. i would check out other trailers before making descion on a hopper being from nc a hopper probably wouldnt be to to great for hauling cotton unless you like ...

With a tandem I would load 25k in the front hopper and 27k in the rear. When I pulled my triple axle I’d load 19k in the front and 40k in the rear. If you’re loading 25 ton or so then half and half is a good starting point and then go check it on a Cat scale. Long FLD, Jul 24, 2021. #6.

The title really says it all. I'm mainly looking for a companie that hauls anything agriculture or hopper bottoms based in Michigan. Not looking for anything O/O or lease purchase wise. I hauled hopper bottoms last year for a seasonal gig and loved it. Any help would be nice. I also live in the saginaw-midland-baycity area.

If you have a load suspension gauge, start watching it, my T660 gauge and another guy with same type truck as yours loaded to 45 then you go to back hopper, depending on where you load, it’s like shifting your axles. I start on front hopper, right behind Dolly legs. Then go to back hopper putting in same spot
