    408 posts. From a transatlantic flight, it usually takes me 30-40 minutes max from plane landing to me exiting the customs area, including picking up luggage. From a European flight, more like 20 mins. I know my way around the airport and walk fast though. Then you have to walk to the SBB office, so give yourself at least an hour.

    Generally, if you are arriving at one Schengen zone country and transiting to another, you don't need to deal with your bags, just passport control.     10/31/21 02:23 PM. 21095 posts. Both airports have hotels on premises, Hilton at Munich and Radisson Blu at Zurich. Both are expensive (+$200) with Zurich the more expensive as you would expect. Munich also has a Novotel on the airport grounds that is a lot less expensive and several even less expensive close by.

It would be a domestic flight to an international flight, I would assume it is fairly early in the morning so 90 minutes, and certainly two hours, would be fine. The train arrives in the lower level of the station. Our flight was a short walk.

From the Zürich station, it's only about 10 minutes to the airport by train. If you want to arrive by 05:00, I don't think it's necessary to get up at 03:00. Posted by FastEddie.
