Anthony Athanas (July 28, 1911 – May 20, 2005) was a multi-millionaire Albanian American restaurateur and philanthropist. His restaurants included Anthony's Pier 4, known throughout United States. [1] In 1976 the National Restaurant Association named him Restaurateur of the Year.
Anthony's Pier 4. Athanas died in 2005; [1] [7] the restaurant closed in 2013. [2] [5] A condominium tower was erected on the site of the parking lot, [5] and in 2016–17, the restaurant building was demolished, and the remains of the Stuyvesant were dredged up for scrap in early 2017. [3]
The restaurant's interior has a wood-fired oven. The Pepperoni Supreme pizza has pepperoni, garlic, red onion, pepperoncini, mozzarella, ricotta, and honey. [3] In addition to pizza, No Saint has served trenne à la vodka, calamari salad, Campari cake, [4] spinach lasagnetta, and brassicas. [5]

Kirby's Pig Stand was the first drive-in restaurant to open in the United States.It was opened by Jessie G. Kirby and Reuben Jackson in 1921, in Dallas, Texas. [1] In the 1980s, it changed ownership to Jim Ingram and Monte Hough, and in 2009, its name was changed to Woodfire Kirby's.
