Menaka Suresh, (born Padmavathi Iyengar) known mononymously as Menaka, is an Indian actress and film producer. [1] She made her debut in the 1980 Tamil film Ramayi Vayasukku Vanthutta . In an acting career spanning from 1980 to 1987, Menaka appeared in over 125 films as a heroine, mostly in Malayalam .
Keerthy Suresh was born on 17 October 1992 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. [4] [5] Her father, G. Suresh Kumar, is a filmmaker of Malayali [6] Nair origin while her mother Menaka is an actress of Tamil Iyengar origin. She has an elder sister Revathy Suresh. Keerthy was initially apprehensive to play Savitri but her mother, who is a fan of Savitri's work prompted her to take up the role.
