Bristol City Women's Football Club is a women's association football team from the city of Bristol.Formed in 1998 as Bristol Rovers W.F.C., they were renamed Bristol Academy W.F.C. in 2005 following the withdraw of support from Bristol Rovers and increased involvement and academy development from Bristol Academy of Sport (now SGS Sport), part of South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
The 2020–21 Bristol City W.F.C. season was the club's fifth season under the Bristol City affiliation and the organisation's 22nd overall season in existence. It was their fourth consecutive full season in the FA Women's Super League following promotion to the 2017 Spring Season.
The Flyers, part of the Bristol Academy of Sport, is the largest basketball club in South West England and are a four star accredited England Basketball and Sport England clubmark club. In 2013, the club was acquired by Stephen Lansdown and became a part of the Bristol Sport Ltd group, alongside Bristol City F.C. and Bristol Bears, amongst others.
