This week we will begin our Bible lessons for children by studying the account of creation found in Genesis 1. As we study the creation of the world, some of the key points we will learn are: God created all life. God is in charge of all life. God is powerful and spoke the world into existence. We should love and honor God.

This story can also be found in the children's Bible that we use in our Sunday school at church. It is called the My Keepsake Bible.
It is in the Old Testament and is called Genesis. Genesis means origin or beginnings, to come into being. It was written by Moses and the very first verse says: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In this lesson, we are studying God's creation found in Genesis 1-2.
