Another settlement on the island Paros is Lefkes (Λεύκες). Lefkes is an inland mountain village 10 km (6 mi) away from Parikia. In the late 19th century, Lefkes was the center of the municipality of Iria which belonged to the Province of Naxos until 1912. The name of the municipality Iria was one of the ancient names of Paros.
Paros (Greek: Περιφερειακή ενότητα Πάρου) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of South Aegean . [ 2 ] The regional unit covers the islands of Paros , Antiparos and several smaller islands in the Aegean Sea .

The community of Pefkochori also includes the villages Lefkes and Panorama. Its elevation is 10 m. Pefkochori is situated on the northeastern coast of the peninsula, 3 km southeast of Chaniotis , 4 km north of Agia Paraskevi and 92 km southeast of Thessaloniki .
