Carmel Woods is an unincorporated community in Monterey County, California, United States. It is located adjoining the northern city limits of Carmel-by-the-Sea and adjacent to Pebble Beach . [ 2 ] Carmel Woods was laid out in 1922 by developer Samuel F. B. Morse (1885–1969).
Monterey County's best preserved large ranch dating to a transition period between stock raising and cereal farming, with eight contributing properties built 1865–1888. Also associated with influential local entrepreneur Alberto Trescony (c. 1812–1892).
