François Alu (born 1993 in Fussy) is a French ballet dancer. He danced with the Paris Opera Ballet as an étoile (star). [1] He entered the Paris Opera Ballet School in 2004, and the Paris Opera Ballet in 2010. At his first promotion competition in 2011, he was promoted to coryphée, then to sujet (semi-soloist) in 2013.
Danseur étoile (for men) or danseuse étoile (for women), literally "star dancer", is the highest rank a dancer can reach at the Paris Opera Ballet.It is equivalent to the title "Principal dancer" used in English or to the title "Primo Ballerino" or "Prima Ballerina" in Italian.

Mathieu Ganio (born 16 March 1984) is a French danseur étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet. Mathieu Ganio was born in Marseille, France, the son of Ballet National de Marseille principal dancers Dominique Khalfouni and Denys Ganio. [1] He made his stage debut at two years of age, performing alonside his mother in Roland Petit's Ma Pavlova. [2]

He became a Coryphée in 2001, Sujet in 2002 and Premier danseur in 2007. He was appointed Étoile, the highest rank in the company, in 2010, after his performance as Solor in Rudolf Nureyev's version of La Bayadère. Bullion officially retired from the Paris Opera Ballet after a performance of Mats Ek's Another Place on 4 June 2022. [1]
There are two types of fourth position: ouverte and croise. In both cases, one foot is placed approximately 12 inches (30 cm) in front of the other. In open fourth position the heels are aligned, while in closed fourth position the heel of the front foot is aligned with the toe of the back foot.
