Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, CBE (Arabic: سلطان أحمد الجابر; born August 31, 1973) is an Emirati politician who is the minister of industry and advanced technology of the United Arab Emirates, [2] head of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), [3] and chairman of Masdar.

Jaber was born on 29 June 1926 in Kuwait City. [2] He was the third son of Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. [5]Jaber received his early education at Al-Mubarakiya School, Al-Ahmediya School, and Al-Sharqiya School, and was subsequently tutored privately in English, Arabic, religion and the sciences.
Ahmad was the son of Jaber II Al-Sabah, who was the eighth ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait between 1915 and 1917. He succeeded his uncle Salem Al-Sabah, the ninth ruler of the Sheikhdom of Kuwait, in February 1921.

[7] One of his sons, Ahmed, married the daughter of Ibrahim bin Muhammed Al Ghanim, a member of the Kuwaiti Al Ghanim family. [7] On 11 April 2023, his son, Mubarak, died at the age of 45. [8]
