Green Oak Charter Township is a charter township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census , the township population was 19,539. In September 2005, the township board voted to incorporate as a charter township, becoming the second charter township in Livingston County.

Royal Oak Township is a charter township in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Royal Oak Township borders Detroit to the north, roughly 11 miles (17.7 km) north of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the township had a population of 2,374. [3] [4] It is independent of the city of Royal Oak.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 143.15 square miles (370.76 km 2), of which 141.66 square miles (366.90 km 2) is land and 1.49 square miles (3.86 km 2) (1.04%) is water. The Au Sable River runs through the northern edge of Big Creek Township, and the Mio Dam and its reservoir are located within the township.
