The City of Darwin is a local government area of the Northern Territory, Australia. It includes the central business district of the capital, Darwin City , and represents two-thirds of its metropolitan population.
The station is known for being the only commercial television network in the Northern Territory to broadcast a full Darwin news bulletin on weeknights. The network has also produced local programs airing across the entire Nine Network, such as Driving Test (2018) and Catching the Chase: Barra Nationals (2018).
In 2008, Southern Cross Darwin ceased broadcasting its last Ten content, as it was moved to Darwin Digital Television. The station has carried a sole Seven affiliate, on relay from Melbourne instead of Brisbane or Adelaide, despite time zone differences between Northern Territory and Victoria.
