Kingsbarns Golf Links is a seaside Scottish links golf course along 1.8 miles of shoreline near St Andrews, Scotland. It opened in 2000 and has been rated as one of the best courses in Scotland. [1] [2] It has also been ranked as one of the top 100 courses in the world, [3] and received numerous media and industry awards.
The championship has been held outside Scotland and England twice, in 1951 and 2019; Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland was the venue for both tournaments. The club also has a shorter 9-hole golf course, and separate men's and women's clubhouses. It has hosted the Scottish Ladies Championship on several occasions.
