Bluffton Airport covers an area of 100 acres (40 ha) at an elevation of 851 feet (259 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 5/23 with an asphalt surface measuring 4,126 by 75 feet (1,258 x 23 m). [1] [3] For the 12-month period ending August 11, 2022, the airport had 42,705 aircraft operations, an average of 117 per day.
In October 2015, the current owners of the property listed it for sale for $3.7 million. As of May 3, 2017, the property is still listed for sale. On December 6, 2017, the Tom Sawyer steamboat was removed from the park and trucked down to Tennessee for restoration to operation. It was purchased by Jason Carver of J Beez Watercraft in 2009. [14]
