The Lower Thames Crossing is a proposed road crossing of the Thames estuary downstream of the Dartford Crossing that links the counties of Kent and Essex, and its proposed approaches. If built it would pass through the districts of Thurrock and Gravesham , supplementing the Dartford route.

The Silvertown Tunnel is a road tunnel, planned to open on 7 April 2025, beneath the River Thames in east London, England. The 1.4 km (0.87 miles) twin-bore tunnel runs between west Silvertown, east of the River Lea estuary, on the north side of the Thames and a portal adjacent to the existing Blackwall Tunnel on the Greenwich Peninsula south of the river.
