Costco is selling the Honeywell-branded Generac 22KW including 200A transfer switch for $4899, Costco item 1546146. This seems to be a very good deal. However, there's very little information available on the Costco site about exactly which unit this is. I suspect it's the same as the Generac 7042 (generator only) or Generac 7043 (generator ...
Figure the 22kW units will be more than enough. Local place tried to quote me $12K for the Generac install through Costco. Or, I can buy the Honeywell 22kW unit from Costco online, and then my electrician and plumber said they could work together to get it installed for only about $1000 including switches and running lines from the LP tanks.
We didn't have to luckily, but definitely do this. In Texas, Costco actually does indirect sales of Generac. For a 24kW Generac (WiFi model with automatic self-testing) with transfer switch install, pad, and up to 20 feet of natural gas piping it was quoted at $14,000 plus a $1500 Costco cash card.
No power is lost. We put it all on one card. It doesn't have to be the Costco card and yes you can split it up among 2 or 3 cards or payment methods. We got pricing from two local electricians and Costco was the best way to go. Make sure to factor in the 2% if you're executive, Citi card 2% if you're using that and also the 10 or 15% Costco ...
Total including generator & ATS should be $10,000+/- being a 26kW you are at the top end of price thats the largest "regular" home stand by. Curious air or liquid cooled. 1. Reply. rangerm2.
In 2018 dollars the all-in cost to purchase and install the Generac was $12,000 with a good amount related to upgrading the gas supply infrastructure. The installer was our electrician and the trenching and the new pipe was done by our plumber. We also have a maintenance agreement with a local generator service company which is a yearly expense ...

The original price of a Honeywell 20KW generator ( Model: G0070630) prior to 7/26/19 was $3999.99. On 7/26 they introduced a $300 manufacturer savings that was valid from 7/26 thru 8/5/19. So the price was now $3699.99. I had to see if I could afford it and decided on 8/4/19 I could buy it. However the Costco website raised the original ...
We had it installed last week. The propane guys will handle the install of the propane tank and plumbing to the generator, then the generator guys will come back out and fire it up and do fine tuning. Cash/check cost: $12,545.00. I just got a quote from a local electrician for a 24KW generac install, for just over 11k.
For reference, Costco used to sell the Generac 13kw and 20kw units online, bundled with transfer switches. The 20kw whole-house unit with transfer switch was $4299 + $100 delivery. Edit: I forgot to mention they were Honeywell-branded Generac units. Costco sells slightly different models but they are still there: 22kw 14kw
