Arthur Wynne was born on June 22, 1871, in Liverpool, England, and lived on Edge Lane for a time. His father was the editor of the local newspaper, the Liverpool Mercury . [ 1 ] He emigrated to the United States on June 6, 1891, at the age of 19, [ 2 ] settling for a time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania .
Rains County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 12,164. [2] Its seat is Emory. [3] The county (and county seat) are named for Emory Rains, a Texas state legislator. In 1970, Recorded Texas Historic Landmark Number 10860 was placed in the county courthouse lawn. [4]
