This is a list of churches in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans.The archdiocese encompasses eight civil parishes in Louisiana: St. Bernard, Jefferson (except Grand Isle) [note 1], Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, and Washington.
Stewart Enterprises was founded in New Orleans in 1910 by Albert Stewart, owner of the Acme Realty Company, when his real estate business acquired the three St. Vincent de Paul Cemeteries and the St. Vincent de Paul Marble Shop, a company that built monuments for the cemeteries. [3] Stewart kept both businesses, and they flourished.
St. Paul's School was the site for kindergarten through 4th Grade and St. John's housed grades five through eight. [8] The school at Burlington's third parish, St. Patrick's, and the school at St. Mary's in West Burlington had both closed in 1969. The stained glass window above the main entrance of the church dates from 1870 and was originally a part of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Montrose, Iowa. It was given to St. Paul's in 1980 after St. Barnabas had been deconsecrated. Four lancet windows line the side walls. The parish hall features a 45-degree turned corner tower and entryway.
