Fuel consumption monitor from a 2006 Honda Airwave. The displayed fuel economy is 18.1 km/L (5.5 L/100 km; 43 mpg ‑US). A Briggs and Stratton Flyer from 1916. Originally an experiment in creating a fuel-saving automobile in the United States, the vehicle weighed only 135 lb (61.2 kg) and was an adaptation of a small gasoline engine originally designed to power a bicycle.
The RXV/SXV has a v-twin engine, and is one of the first off-road motorcycles to feature fuel injection. The 450 has a displacement of 449 cc, while the 550 has a displacement of 549 cc. Each engine has a single-overhead-cam and four valves per cylinder. The 77-degree cylinder angle minimizes vibration. [1]

The SR50 DITECH uses the Synerject gasoline direct injection (GDI) system developed jointly by the Orbital Corporation and Siemens AG. The system uses a crank-driven air compressor to deliver air to the cylinder head at a pressure of 5 bars (500 kPa; 73 psi), thereby avoiding the use of carburation; the cylinder walls are not wet with gasoline, only with lubricating oil.
In 2000, Aprilia launched the 50 cc DiTech (Direct Injection Technology) two stroke engine for scooters which provides high mileage and low emissions, and also the RST Futura, a sport tourer, and the ETV 1000 Caponord; an adventure touring motorcycle. Both of these latter two motorcycles used a variation of the Rotax 1000 cc V-Twin.
13 L (2.9 imp gal; 3.4 US gal) The Aprilia RS50 is a sport moped made by Aprilia . [ 1 ] The model made until 2005 was powered by a single cylinder two-stroke aluminium cylinder block, liquid cooled 49.7 cc (3.03 cu in) Motori-Minarelli AM6 engine.
The Aprilia RST1000 Futura is a sport touring motorcycle that was produced by Aprilia from 2001 to 2004. It is equipped with a 113-horsepower (85 kW) four-stroke 60° V-twin engine with electric-start, liquid cooling and electronic fuel-injection. The engine is broadly similar to that fitted to the Aprilia SL1000 Falco.
