The Weston Branch Library serves the city of Weston, Florida. It serves a population of 65,672 people, but also allows books to be borrowed by the over 9 million users in the Broward County Library System. The library branch was built after the city of Weston was incorporated in 1996. [1]

Weston is located in the Florida State House's 104th district, which as of January 2022 is represented in the Florida State House of Representatives by Robin Bartleman (D–Weston). [ 41 ] [ 42 ] Additionally, Bartleman had previously served as a City Commissioner of Weston, serving in that capacity between 2000 and 2004.

The Leon County Public Library was established in May 1955 and the first Leon County free public library opened its doors on March 21, 1956, in 5,000 square feet of The Columns, one of the oldest remaining antebellum homes in the Leon County area, and located at Park and Adams. Close to 5,000 volumes were on its shelves.
