Use m.twitch instead of regular and use firefox w/ ublock or abp. works like a charm. I have used all the extensions and scripts people mention below for years. As of the last few days, it appears twitch updated their anti adblock so though these do block ads, the stream stays black forever.
any country where twitch isn't allowed to run ads work's so most eastern EU counties and handful of central American countries. same thing for proxies. Twitch does shadow ban for vpn use idk how aggressively though. I just use the uBo script, never get ads.
Because Twitch updates their ads every 5 days to try and combat adblockers. Until we have a permanent sticky on this sub, this question will be asked every time Twitch rolls out new anti-adblockers. Also worth noting the search function is atrocious.

The normal adblockers don't block video ads on Twitch. Twitch™ Adblock Plus, available for Edge and Chrome (but not Firefox) is the only one I found that really works. If you're using firefox; Twitch Adblock is an extention that I've been using for a while and I haven't had an ad in a while. Sometimes it comes up with the "ad in progress" screen but mostly just the stream without ads.
Ive been using "twitch adblock 5.7.0" for a while which still works decently, then i tried TTV LOL Pro 2.1.3 which also works most of the time, but ever since twitch's new measures against adblocks a few weeks ago, i noticed that i might not get ads, but the stream often buffers/lags while playing.
