John James MacDonald (May 19, 1906 – February 1, 1991) was an American foley artist and voice actor. He was the original head of the Disney sound effects department, and was also the 2nd official voice of Mickey Mouse from 1947 to 1976 after Walt Disney stopped playing the character and before Wayne Allwine became the third voice of Mickey in 1977.
Wayne Anthony Allwine (February 7, 1947 – May 18, 2009) [1] was an American voice actor, sound effects editor and foley artist.He was best remembered as the third official voice of Mickey Mouse in English (following Walt Disney and Jimmy MacDonald) and the first official casting following the establishment of Disney Character Voices International in 1988.
He voiced Mickey Mouse in Have a Laugh!. He gave his first full performance as Mickey Mouse for the English version of the PlayStation Portable game Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. He also gave his voice performance as Mickey Mouse in the Epic Mickey games.
Mickey Mouse as a whole isn't public domain because Disney still has a slew of copyrights on the character and design, as well as trademarks on its branding and the name "Mickey Mouse."
His first video game voice-over of Mickey Mouse can be heard in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Iwan also became the first voice actor to portray Mickey during Disney's rebranding of the character, providing the vocal effects of Mickey in Epic Mickey as well as his voice lines in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two and the remake of Castle of Illusion.
