The Klias Peninsula (Malay: Semenanjung Klias) is a peninsula in western of Sabah, Malaysia.It consists of coastal wetlands which become the largest mangrove and nipa swamp area in Sabah's west coast and serves as a major nurturing ground for fisheries resources in the Brunei Bay and Kimanis Bay.

Putrajaya Wetlands Park (Malay: Taman Wetland) in Putrajaya, Malaysia is the largest constructed freshwater wetlands in the tropics. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] It is the first man-made wetland in Malaysia, which includes a Wetland Park (138 hectares) and the wetland areas (1977 hectares).
The Lower Kinabatangan Segama Wetlands are situated in Sabah, Malaysia. They cover 788.03 km 2 . The Kinabatangan Orangutan Conservation Project was established in 1998 to secure the population in the Kinabatangan floodplain of eastern Sabah (McConkey et al. 2005).
For these reasons, Malayan Nature Society (now the Malaysian Nature Society) and the Asian Wetlands Bureau (now Wetlands International) made a petition to the government of Selangor state, and the land was established as a park by the government on 27 September 1987.
