  2. Sitka versus Badlands clothing - Hunt Talk

    www.hunttalk.com/threads/sitka-versus-badlands-clothing.310342

Bedsides getting shit for wearing it. I’ve really enjoyed my Sitka gear. I’ve been wearing the same Sitka mountain pants for the last ten or so seasons and they’re still running strong. Sitka warranty is great even though I’ve only had to use it once, and it was my mistake.

That being said, I'm a mut. I wear a mixture of Sitka, First Lite, and some Kuiu along with Outdoor Research and other brands. I've had really good luck with my Kuiu Attack pants, love my Kuiu and Black Ovis base layers, I've got good North Face rain gear, REI puffy, and Sitka 90% jacket.

  4. Is "Sitka Gear" really worth the money? - Hunt Talk

    www.hunttalk.com/threads/is-sitka-gear-really-worth-the-money.245835

To your first question, "Is Sitka Gear worth the money?" That will depend on where each person's value equation rests. Rather subjective. Is it great gear, and is it excellent for mountain hunting. Without a doubt. For the type of hunting I do, which is very active, it excels.

  6. Wool vs Sitka Gear - Hunt Talk

    www.hunttalk.com/threads/wool-vs-sitka-gear.239990

I have used Sitka Gear from its inception. It is good stuff. Better than any other synthetic fabric I have used. I was a dyed in the wool - wool guy. Like pointer said, just too damn heavy to carry up and down the hills. So, I looked for some layering gear that would last as long as my wool had lasted. I settled on Sitka. It was a good choice.

  7. Sitka Gear fit? - Hunt Talk

    www.hunttalk.com/threads/sitka-gear-fit.285217

I size up on them to fit layers. I am a 34-36 waist, I get a size 38 pants. Your best best for all Sitka gear is to try them on in different sizes and see what fits for you (with 3 different fits depending on the article of clothing: performance, standard, expedition). I really trust the gear, I don't trust the sizing at all.

  8. Wash sitka Colothes - Hunt Talk

    www.hunttalk.com/threads/wash-sitka-colothes.288340

I wash when needed, scent and grime lets me know. Synthetics get McNett or Nikwax Tech Wash, high end wool gets McNett Wool Wash. As DWR fades I re-treat with the spray on McNett DWR refresher and toss in the dryer. I'm pretty meticulous about caring for my technical gear and I feel it's worth the time and hassle in terms of performance.

  9. Sitka Sales - Hunt Talk

    www.hunttalk.com/threads/sitka-sales.326077

So I’ve seen a lot of retailers liquidating their Sitka gear and they have some not so nice things to say. Is Sitka having some internal struggles with corporate structuring, any insight to what is going on. It seems a lot of people are staying tight lipped on what is going on. Eurooptic and...
