Big Big Train are an English progressive rock band formed in Bournemouth in 1990. The current line-up includes band founder Gregory Spawton (bass, guitars and keyboards), along with Nick D'Virgilio (drums, guitars and keyboards), Rikard Sjöblom (guitars and keyboards), Clare Lindley (violin and vocals), Alberto Bravin (vocals, guitar and keyboards) and Oskar Holldorff (keyboards and vocals).
The Second Brightest Star is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Big Big Train. It contains a mix of new songs along with re-worked material from the band's previous two albums, Folklore and Grimspound. [1] It is the band's last album to feature co-founder Andy Poole who departed the band in January 2018. [2]
John William Jackson Jr. (born 1917), nicknamed "Big Train", is an American former Negro league pitcher who played between 1938 and 1940. A native of Louisiana, Jackson made his Negro leagues debut in 1938 with the Kansas City Monarchs, and played with the Monarchs again the following season. He finished his career in 1940 with the Memphis Red Sox.
The original album is out of print. In 2010 it was remastered by members of the band, and the track list has been expanded by three tracks: one being recorded for the 1993 demo The Infant Hercules, one newly recorded instrumental track from the 2010 line-up (including Nick D'Virgilio on drums and David Longdon on keyboards), and an expanded version of the original album track "Losing Your Way".

Grand Tour is the twelfth studio album by the English progressive rock band Big Big Train. It contains all new songs unlike the previous, The Second Brightest Star. Thematically it broadens the lyrical landscape for the group into the European world, previously having a largely domestic British focus.
