Saphan Taksin station (Thai: สถานีสะพานตากสิน) is a BTS skytrain station, on the Silom Line in Sathon and Bang Rak Districts, Bangkok, Thailand. The station is located at the entry ramp of Taksin Bridge , below Sathon Road , to the east of the Chao Phraya River .
Saphan Taksin station is the only single-platform station in Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit system, causing a bottleneck on the Silom Line. This prevents increasing the train frequency to more than every 3 minutes and 45 seconds.
[1] [2] There is also a cross-river ferry service from the pier to Charoen Nakhon in Thonburi. Sathorn Pier is located adjacent to the Saphan Taksin Station, making this location the only place for commuters to transfer between the Chao Phraya Express Boat service and the Bangkok BTS Skytrain Silom Line rail service.

The Silom Line of the BTS Skytrain also runs along most part of this road with stations Surasak and Saphan Taksin. The skytrain extension to the other side of Chao Phraya River opened to public in May 2009. The MRT Blue Line, Lumphini Station is at the other end near Rama IV Road.
