Mahilpur is a city and a Nagar Panchayat in Hoshiarpur district in the Indian state Punjab Founded by Bains Clan & named after Chaudhary Mahla Bains who was Jagirdar of area, Pur stands for town or settlement so town came to be known as Mahilpur which means( town of Mahlo).It is situated on Hoshiarpur to Garhshankar stretch of State Highway 24.
