Lake Street Dive is an American multi-genre band that was formed in 2004 at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. [1] The band's founding members are Rachael Price, Mike "McDuck" Olson, Bridget Kearney, and Mike Calabrese.
Lakeshore Records is a soundtrack record label, originally founded as the independent music division of Lakeshore Entertainment. It had begun as Will Records, which was founded by Skip Williamson in the early 1990s. Lake Shore Drive was re-released on compact disc in 1996 for its 25th anniversary on a double-CD set, along with some of the band's other songs. The band appeared in a 1978 made-for-TV movie, Sparrow, playing a rock band whose lead singer is electrocuted while performing onstage.

Bridget Kearney at the LBJ Presidential Library in 2022. Kearney was born and grew up in Iowa City, Iowa.Her mother played flute. Her grandmothers, Ellen and Vickey, were both musicians; Ellen Kearney, to whom she credits her preternatural love of low tones, played the upright bass, while Vickey, a vocalist, was a touring musician with the "Tangen Sisters".
"New Horizons" is the album's first single and was released in the iTunes Store on August 21. However, the song made its radio debut on Windsor, Ontario rock station 89X on August 1. [ 12 ] According to bassist Pat Seals, the song is about "a feeling of looking toward the unknown future with hope."
