Midway University is a private Christian university in Midway, Kentucky. Related by covenant to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) , it enrolls approximately 1,900 students earning two-year and four-year degrees as well as master's degrees.
Midway College School of Pharmacy was a proposed private pharmacy school planned to open in Paintsville, Kentucky, United States. Announced to the public on January 11, 2010, the school planned to open on Big Sandy Community and Technical College 's Mayo Campus in the fall of 2011. [ 2 ]
Kentucky also has two early entrance to college programs, for academically gifted high school juniors and seniors, that allows the students to take college credits while finishing high school. On May 20, 1993, the board of trustees changed the name to Mid-Continent College, and after organizing into two separate colleges, changed the name to Mid-Continent University. [ 6 ] In December 2013, the school's accreditation warning by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools was extended for a second year. [ 7 ]
