Arthur is set to compete against the Brain in a 3K race, with D.W. and the Tibbles helping him train. In the end, Arthur loses the race to the Brain, but has his picture on the front page of the daily newspaper for helping a reluctant Muffy up after she falls down. Arthur and Buster go to investigate a rumor that tigers are loose in the park. This turns out to be an experiment by the Brain, who wanted to see if anyone would believe a seemingly true internet rumor with no leads. The Brain's story leads to Arthur and Buster solving a mystery about dogs disappearing from the park.
Arthur is able to go backstage due to Mr. Read catering the concert, and worries that if he invites his friends, it will interfere with him befriending the band. He changes his mind and lets them come, thinking that it would be more fun to go with his friends. However, Arthur learns that BINKY is actually a group of holograms and is not real.
