Rozelle is a suburb in the inner west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 4 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district , in the local government area of the Inner West Council .

Rozelle Bay is a bay located to the south of Glebe Island and the west of Blackwattle Bay, on Sydney Harbour. The naming of the bay is derived from either the Rosella bird or the Rosella plant , with the latter being more likely, due to the other names in the area that have botanic origins.
Since 1994, the facility has been formally known as Rozelle Hospital. In April 2008, all Rozelle Hospital services and patients were transferred to Concord Hospital . The Callan Park (Special Provisions) Act, 2002 (NSW) restricts future uses of the site to health, tertiary education and community uses.

Rozelle Yard was a goods railway yard in Rozelle, New South Wales, Australia. It was one of two major yards on the Rozelle–Darling Harbour Goods Line , the other being in Darling Harbour . [ 2 ] After heavy rail traffic ceased, part of the site was redeveloped into the Lilyfield Maintenance Depot of Sydney Light Rail .
Rozelle was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales, it was named after and including the Sydney suburb of Rozelle.It was created in the 1904 re-distribution of electorates following the 1903 New South Wales referendum, which required the number of members of the Legislative Assembly to be reduced from 125 to 90. In 1920, parts of the electoral districts of Balmain, Annandale, Camperdown, Darling Harbour, Glebe and Rozelle were combined to create a new incarnation of Balmain, which elected five members by proportional representation. This was replaced by single member electorates of Balmain, Annandale, Glebe and Rozelle for the 1927 election.
