The National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum (NHHM) commonly known as National Crafts Museum in New Delhi is one of the largest crafts museums in India. It is run by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The museum is situated on the corner of the Pragati Maidan, facing the Purana Quila complex. [1]
National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum, New Delhi [4] was set up at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textiles. [5] The Museum is a structured village complex consisting of 15 structures representing village dwellings, courtyards and shrines from different states spread over an area of 5 hectares.
It was designated a National Historic Landmark and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966 in recognition for its remarkable state of preservation. [4] The historic site is the centerpiece of Watkins Mill State Park , which is managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
