Hicksville station is a commuter rail station on the Main Line and Port Jefferson Branch of the Long Island Rail Road, located in Hicksville, New York. It is the busiest station east of Jamaica, Penn Station, and Grand Central Madison by combined weekday/weekend ridership. The station is located at Newbride Road (NY 106) and West Barclay Street.

The Long Island Rail Road (reporting mark LI), or LIRR, is a railroad in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of New York, stretching from Manhattan to the eastern tip of Suffolk County on Long Island. The railroad currently operates a public commuter rail service, with its freight operations contracted to the New York and Atlantic Railway.

From 1872 to 1877, the station was located in close proximity to the southern terminus of the LIRR's Cedarhurst Cut-off. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] The original station house was converted into a freight house and was replaced by the second station, which was moved from Ocean Point Station (a.k.a. Cedarhurst Station ), remodeled, and opened on October 1, 1881.
