Kitsilano Secondary School was founded in 1917, when overflow classes from King Edward High School were moved to Cecil Rhodes School. Each day has four (4) blocks with 80 minutes of instruction in each block. Classes begin at 8:40 a.m. and end at 3:05 p.m. during the 2023-2024 school year. Prince of Wales operates on a semester system. Classes are in session from 8:40 to 11:35 and 12:20 to 3:05 like other schools in the Vancouver School Board, with 4 classes every semester.
