Kalmbach sold off all of their assets except a couple, to Firecrown Media. They already have a couple of railroad magazines but supposedly plan to keep everything going and hire all of the Kalmbach staff that want to stay. I'm guessing that they'll let things keep going for awhile before axing any magazines.

Kalmbach made a CD Rom available of all the Scale Auto Enthusiast magazines from issue 1. It would be very nice if the same was available of Model Cars Magazine. Any chance of this happening? Many of us started taking the magazine a number of years after it went into production.

Foam core board or plastic corrugated signs, (the back) are good to practice on. Acrylic paint is very cheap at Walmart to use for practice. Clean Acrylic with Alcohol, 91% and laquer thinner, thin with alcohol, 71%. You can also thin acrylics with water, but distilled is best. Never let acrylics dry in your air brush.

Posted April 18, 2014. The only AC Cobra in 1/25 that I can think of is the AMT 289 (I guess it could have even been the 260) Cobra from the early '60s. Excellent kit for it's day and holds up well today. The first issue included the stock steering wheel and Halibrand kidney beans where as subsequent releases did not include those.
