The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District is a quasi-municipal administrative area in British Columbia, Canada. It stretches from Britannia Beach in the south to Pavilion in the north. Lillooet , Pemberton , Whistler and Squamish are the four municipalities in the regional district.
Squamish (/ ˈ s k w ɔː m ɪ ʃ /; Squamish: Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, [ˈsqʷχʷuː.ʔməʃ]; 2021 census population 23,819) [3] is a community and a district municipality in the Canadian province of British Columbia, located at the north end of Howe Sound on the Sea to Sky Highway.
As a census division in the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Sunshine Coast Regional District had a population of 32,170 living in 14,935 of its 17,982 total private dwellings, a change of 7.3% from its 2016 population of 29,970.
The school district serves three major population centres along the Sea-to-Sky Corridor; Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.
