The Mummy Returns is a 2001 American fantasy action-adventure film [2] written and directed by Stephen Sommers. It is the sequel to the 1999 film The Mummy , and the second film in The Mummy film series starring Brendan Fraser as Rick O'Connell .
The Mummy is a media franchise based on films by Universal Pictures about a mummified ancient Egyptian priest who is accidentally resurrected, bringing with him a powerful curse, and the ensuing efforts of heroic archaeologists to stop him. The franchise was created by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer.
During a preview to the exhibition of the Dragon Emperor, the mummy is resurrected and flees the museum. The O'Connells pursue the mummy with the help of Lin, the girl who attacked Alex, and her mother Zi Yuan. In the end, Alex teams up with his father to kill the Dragon Emperor, falling in love with Lin along the way.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is a third-person action adventure video game adaption of film of the same name. The PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the game were developed by Eurocom , and the Nintendo DS version was developed by Artificial Mind and Movement (or A2M), [ 1 ] while the mobile version was developed and published by Gameloft .
