Tracline 65 was a bus route in Birmingham, England which included the first guided busway in the United Kingdom. The existing route 65 bus route was upgraded as part of an experiment to improve bus services, by the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive .
The route and bus pass operated in direct competition with National Express Coventry's 11, 11U and 12X services, which operated every 10 to 15 minutes with a fleet of similar-specification Enviro400 MMCs delivered during 2019, as well as their £125.90 term-long bus pass.
In 2018, one bus per hour was extended to Gornal Wood. The extended service was funded by Transport for West Midlands. [2] In November 2022, it was announced that the extension to Gornal Wood could be withdrawn. [3] [4] In late December 2022 it was confirmed that the X10 will continue to serve Gornal Wood but to a revised timetable.

As a result of the Transport Act 1985, bus services were deregulated. This resulted in the transfer of the bus services to a separate legal entity, West Midlands Travel Ltd (WMT), [13] which took over the bus assets and services of the WMPTE on 26 October 1986. [14]
