My current most favourite long gun is an old Remington rolling block in .38-55 set up with the long range peep rear and globe front sights. Working the block open and sliding the long rounds into place for each shot really adds to the whole experience. That does sound like a really cool gun...

  4. Help with my Remington 141 - The High Road

    www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/help-with-my-remington-141.815571

The two positions it calls for mounting on the Remington 14 and 141 are F and H, with F being in the middle of the receiver, and H as previously stated on the barrel. These are the only options Weaver gives for scope mounting on the 14 and 141, with the back mount (receiver) a number 20A and the front (barrel) mount a 27. Hope this helps some.

Hey guys, I've got a 2 year old Remington 700 BDL and while hiking across mountains at deer camp last week I got a couple of unsightly scratches down the side of my otherwise pristine stock. I know I shouldn't worry about them, but I was wondering if anyone knew of some methods on getting...

The Mid tube just gets the ratio of barrel in front of the gas block back to something closer to an M4 with a 14.5" barrel by putting the extra barrel length where it should be - between the gas block and receiver. This isn't tricky - once you understand what a terrible idea a 16" barrel with a carbine length gas system was.
