Dragon Quest 10-- a bunch of systems -- This was an MMO never released in English. Play just about any other game first unless you love MMOs or know Japanese/Chinese. Dragon Quest 11-- PC/PS4 and in Fall 2019, Switch -- In my opinion, this has taken the crown of being the best entry point to Dragon Quest series. It is the most visually ...
B Tier Dragon Quest IV - I enjoyed the chapters and the characters, but the lack of real customization kinda sucked. Dragon Quest VII - the job system felt like a step down from VI, and the game is way too long, but I enjoyed my time with it. Still need to finish it, though. C Tier Dragon Quest V - yeah, yeah, get your pitchforks. This game ...
The only reason Dragon Quest look different from Pokémon is cuz Pokémon had cute anime faces, if you put cute anime faces on the dragon quest monsters they would look exactly like Pokemon. Temtem may have come out with their own artstyle, but I find that artstyle uglier and inferior to the Pokémon artstyle.
Alot of Dragon Quest's mechanics are built on what Dragon Quest II introduced. But with two of the key people involved having passed on and Horii likely to retire, I do fear for Dragon Quest's future after XII. Because I don't want to see what happened to Final Fantasy to happen to Dragon Quest.
2 - Dragon Quest 11: I had high hopes, and Dragon Quest 11 exceeded most of them. Then S came out and exceeded ALL of them. 11 is a great game with a wonderful (if limited) soundtrack, and engaging story, and the biggest postgame in the series. It's an incredible game, well worth slogging through 15 minutes of playing as a stupid looking fish.
Imo, dragon quest IX is the only good dragon quest because it teaches you discipline, delayed gratification, and perhaps most important of all, it has great morals and lessons that reflect real life. In real life things don’t come easy, it’s better you learn that sooner than later. 1. Reply.
Depends what you mean by "beat". To get to the first credits roll, around 60 hours. To beat the true final boss and get the true ending, probably around 80-100 hours. To 100% complete the game, probably around 140 hours. 13.
We just recently got to spend some hands-on time with the new Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, and just wanted to share our preview with the fans out there. Zach is a huge Dragon Quest fan and was super excited to spend time playing it and it comes through with the article and video. As always there is both a written and video version of the ...
For me, I like to think the difference between the two are the play styles and graphics: Dragon Warrior is the 2D, isometric top-down game, while Dragon Quest started with DQXIII, when the graphics were updated into 3D. That said, looking at everything as one series, I'm always split on whether DWVII or DQVIII is my favorite, as both were ...
3DS: Dragon Quest Monsters 2 (has a fan translation) My recommendations: PS1 VII is great if you're looking for 100+ hours of playtime. But not, if you're looking for a short experience. Guides will of course, dramatically shorten the experience. In retrospect, my favorite is V. VIII has great graphics, gameplay and orchestral music.
