The 5.4L V8 was only offered on the F-250, F-350 SRW, F-350 DRW pickup (except crew cab), and F-350 DRW chassis-cab (regular cab only). As a replacement for the long-running 7.5L/460 V8 , for the Super Duty, Ford introduced an all-new Triton V10 (to rival Dodge 's 8.0L Magnum V10 ).
The F-250 4x4 was marketed in both single-cab and crew cab configurations (the latter, one of the rarest versions of the sixth-generation F-series [17]). Offered in the Custom, Ranger, and Ranger XLT trims only with a long bed, the configuration was not offered with the SuperCab body, auxiliary fuel tanks, and the Camper Special option package.
In Bolivia, Ford F-series truck are imported from the United States. F-150 single, super cab and crew cab are available with short and long bed. F-series Heavy Duty like F-250, F-350 are available in Super Cab and Crew cab with long bed, but the F-450 is available only in a chassis version. The F-150 Raptor is available, too.
In a significant model change, the tenth generation was developed only for the F-150 (and later a light-duty F-250), with the ninth-generation F-250 and F-350 replaced by the all-new Ford Super Duty variant of the F-Series for 1999. The F-250 and F-350 trucks were only available with long beds (8 ft.) except in 1996 and 1997, when the short bed was available with the F-250 HD SuperCab or Crew Cab. The short-bed F-250 HDs were only available with the 7.3L Power Stroke or 7.5L V8 engines, and were only produced for a little over a year.
