   LeaveWeb will charge you a full day regardless of what time you put for your leave to start. The exception is if you put in for your leave to start half a day BEFORE the rest of your leave, which gets you a "free" half day off, but this is for travel or preparation for travel and has to be used in conjunction with other leave, not by itself.

   How did you request leave? Did you use LeaveWeb? Typically, we submit formal leave requests through LeaveWeb, but I don't know if tech schoolers have to use the AF 988 paper copy.

   Nope, Leaveweb will not let you enter the leave request if the start date is more than 30 days out. Its coded into the app. You can clear it with your unit and chain however far ahead you want, but 30 days is the max to enter it for processing.

   I'm trying to access LeaveWeb at home this weekend to get my leave in before Monday. I'm on my Mac (with my cac reader and permissions installed) and every time I click cac login on LeaveWeb the page just reloads the initial LeaveWeb login page. I've tried on both Safari and Chrome and gotten the same issue.

   Got it to work using Han-Han’s instructions below. Download Okta app > use af.okta.mil for the organization URL > put in your email address > it sends a code to your gov email (took really long for mine to show up in my inbox) > enter code and then you can log in.

   I set it all up in Leaveweb that way and for 1/2 of Friday, and all of Saturday/Sunday, I only get charged 1 day of leave. It’s nice for a quick weekend trip.
