The highway leaves the city of North Las Vegas shortly after just before SR 604 ends at Interstate 15 at exit 58 near Apex. The I-15 frontage road stretching northeast 11.823 miles (19.027 km) from Apex to a point between Garnet and Crystal is also state maintained as FRCL07, [ 1 ] and was mileposted as SR 604.
From there, it proceeds eastward to the Las Vegas–North Las Vegas city limits at Decatur Boulevard. The second section of SR 573 resumes at the intersection of Craig Road and Frehner Road in the city of North Las Vegas. The DTC was opened in the late 1980s to serve as the main terminal for the Las Vegas City Trolley, and for the private Las Vegas Transit System, Inc. In 1992, it became the terminal for Citizens Area Transit, once Las Vegas Transit ceased operations. Originally, the DTC only had 23 bays, with two of them unnumbered.
