    community.breastcancer.org/en/discussion/695857/what-did-your-lump-feel-like

Lump was harder than other lumps in my breasts (I have very lumpy breasts), and it was immobile, whereas my other lumps can be manipulated. My mom had thyroid cancer and my sister had Hodgkins Lymphoma--I was the first w/bc anywhere in my family. I echo others here--have it checked out--just in case. Early detection is always best.

This is often the first apparent symptom of breast cancer. Lumps associated with breast cancer are usually painless, although some may cause a prickly sensation. Lumps are usually visible on a mammogram long before they can be seen or felt. Swelling in the armpit. Pain or tenderness in the breast. Although lumps are usually painless, pain or ...

Can cancer lumps suddenly appear overnight? Yesterday morning I was showering as I always do & when I washed underneath my left breast I felt a small (tip of index finger size), hard, painful when pressed on lump. I have very large breasts, I just turned 39 and have two children. This hard lump was not there the day before yesterday.

They found a 16x8x7 mm mass that is more solid than the others with indistinct margins at 2:30. My previous mass was at 3:00. Apparently the radiologist noted "potential post surgical changes" aka scar tissue as a possible cause but I still have to have a biopsy. I did not ask for a copy of the report or Birads score because of the anxiety ...

January 2013 edited September 2018. Just curious how many people out there had a lump that was painful that ended up being breast cancer. The reason I found my lump is because I had pain. I was surprised to find out that my lump was cancer because all of the doctors said cancer doesn't hurt. I feel like smacking them all in the face because my ...

edited September 2012. Dear all. Unfortunately Her2+ tumors grow so fast and if they are grade 3 either the growth is even worse. My moms tumor was 1cm in June and in October it growed to 6cm. Also in Her2+ patients there are more than 1 tumor and its common.

My breast hurt off and on for a couple months. A burning pain and then it would stop. I went to nurse practioner and we didn't feel anything and then a month later there was a lump beside my nipple that hurt. Everything I read said cancer didn't hurt and bc of my age everyone thought it was a cyst.

Good topic, Diane! My doctor told me that I didn't have breast cancer primarily because of my age (32/33 at the time) and because my lumps & breast hurt. (I was also experiencing a feeling similar to the "let down" feeling I remembered from when I breastfed--which she said wasn't a symptom.)

Women with these complex fibroadenomas have a slightly increased risk of breast cancer (about 1½ to 2 times the risk of women with no breast changes)." I found them because I went looking.
