Before the Lewis and Clark Council merger, GSLAC submitted a resolution to National to change the "One Lodge, One Council" policy that is in effect. On January 1, 2019, the Lincoln Trails Council in central Illinois merged into GSLAC. Woapink Lodge became the fourth lodge to serve GSLAC. All four lodges are still chartered by the national office.
